What is an ITIN?
Individual Taxpayer Identification Number
An ITIN is a number issued by the IRS for individuals who are not eligible to obtain a Social Security Number. It allows them to file financial documents with the IRS and include qualifying dependents for reporting purposes.

To apply for an ITIN, the IRS mandates the submission of a completed federal filing.
Income Documentation
W-2 forms or income statements for each job (if employed)
1099-MISC forms or a list of income (if self-employed or contractor)
Note: The State of Minnesota does NOT recognize common-law marriage. Couples must be legally married or have a legally recognized union from another state.

Valid passport (at least 6 months before it expires).
Proof of address in the applicant’s name.
Valid Identification (Consular ID, INE, Cedula, Etc.) and Original Birth Certificate, Recent / Valid
